People receive emails about info. posted on state chapters. I have asked other chapter leads to post on their chapter boards as well. I am not sure if we have a consolidated, updated and verified list of all the members across all the state chapters to be able to send an email at this time.

is it possible to send an email, probably daily once to all members about High Five ?
I feel that most of the members are not aware at this time. Usually when ever something is happening live at senate or congress, more members visit and follow the proceedings. Since there is nothing like that right now, i think it's time to communicate to all of'em.
Just a thought to increase the momentum. This is a great initiative indeed in this tough economy
By the way, i've mailed another check of $50 today morning, towards yesterday's target of $2000

I don't think anybody can predict EB-3 India as it is a lost cause (sorry for being pessimistic). The only way EB-3 India will see any meaningful progress is through legislation.
I don't understand why EB3-I is a lost cause. Isn't the percentage distribution for the various categories taken into account? I don;t think I understand how the percentage distrubution works probably. Can anyone please explain?

Ok here I go again in this Chicken and Egg situation......
Now that someone filed a lawsuit to invalidate the July VB, which BTW is still CURRENT.......it could invalidate the CURRENT sttatus....of all Eb categories....precisely what DOS USCIS wants....

That is exactly the point. How can you then argue that all PD porting is unethical, period?
There should be a clause that when porting of PD is being issued, Like "At the time of EB3 Labor was the person eligible for EB2"! Thats the whole point ..

Do I need to do anything to get it moving? How do I put a Service Request on 485? The online system to put an eRequest only lets you do it for N400 or I90.
It does not hurt to send a interfiling request letter from your attorney. You can raise a Service request (via phone) if it is outside of normal processing time (30 days past after being current).

You would think that USCIS is effecient and well managed, but the fact of the matter is that they are not.
If you think about what happened in last one month , it points out that things are in pretty bad shape untill take notice by affected people like us.
Well, if you do the direct calculations (eventhough it looks correct for most of us), it always results scary.
But that does not happen always. A Government Agency decided to accept that many applications in a month window, defintely it would not have been decided in a lunch or dinner meeting.
They should have known their limitations and how to handle the situation. If there are 20K 485 applications sitting at the storage, it would not create much problems. But it creates so much administration issues if the number is 600K applications.
One major issue is, every year they are going to receive 600K EAD renewals. They will never get time to work on 485, but life long working on renewing this EAD's and no more further GC processing.
So, its not going to be the case. Now they have money, even if it takes first year some more months, they may go for hiring more contracters OR spliting the applications across different centers processing them.
Its a big administration issue to the agency to keep all the applications pending than us.
So, no worries. There must be a solution ahead for us.

This campaign starts at 4:00 PM EST on 29th April, 2010 and will run until the end of next week. We request all IV members to call the Senate offices listed below between 9:00 AM EST and 5:00 PM EST.
So, this Campaign runs for another 3 days, IV members need to pick up the phones and start calling. Remember, if no bill is put forth before the end of May, it will be legislatively impossible to take CIR this year.
It all boils down to, how much are we willing to help our own cause.

i will ask the iv folks who keep in touch with USCIS if they know anything. AFAIK though, USCIS has come out with no answers other than quoting the non availability of adequate visa numbers. if there is any more info i will let you know...
paskal, thanks for the reply. whats very frustrating for me is, these guys mess up so badly and they get away with no trace , we all know that this happened in the past and probably is happening currently too. All we are asking is a fair FIFO method and proper usage of visa numbers with transparency. The mere fact that they are not transparent raises many doubts in many minds. And these questions are not coming from those people who filed for their greecards an year or 2 ago..i just read a post in this same thread that this person has been waiting for his green card for 10 years...this is the height of ridiculousness and there is a limit for our patience, and this is it...

Did you ever apply for EAD / AP?
My I-140 was never denied. In fact the date 09/04/2007 that NSC mentions about the denial is the date that I got approval notice. I have the approval copy from USCIS. I am not sure what the adjudicating officer is looking on his terminal.

H1Bs taken care by California and Vermont centers. 485, 131 and 765 are handled by Nebraska and Texas centers.
Also, Nebraska is big and main center. They know how to handle load.
Here are the EAD statistics (real numbers):

By seeing above numbers, you can see how USCIS handles load of millions of EAD applications every year. so, 600K is not a surprise for them. In 2003, they got more 2 million applications, but they handled well. But it may be take one or two months extra, i.e. 3+2 = 5 months maximum to get your EAD. Thats for sure. They will be prepared for that when you they allow us to file.
If you already applied for EAD now, then you will for sure have a EAD by December.
