This was one one of John Kerry's Presidential campaign proposals. you saw what happened right. As the other member said it would be something very difficult to get pass by rule makers.
How about something like,
If a person has stayed in US for 10+ (or 7+years) years and has filed taxes(verified thourgh 1040s), he should be given GC. No questions asked(other than the ones the affect security of USA)

EB2-I PD announcement, which is a black hole coincided with CERN Big Bang Machine. After watching History Channel (they explained details, how this CERN Colloider can create dark matters and black hole) in mid night, PD announcment turned morning bad.
USCIS is as chaotic as Big Bang and its announcements hits like Black Hole.
It was so bad news, that I could not see any further, what is happening to others.

Guys as it states both you and your spouse need to have an SSN not ITIN.
So if one has ssn other has ITIN you are not qualified.
The stimulus package is $600 for each member who has an SSN. Therefore if both you and your wife had an SSN you would get $1200. In the case where one spouse has an ITIN, the remaining spouse still is eligible for the $600. As mentioned in this post earlier you can always file 1040X one you receive the SSN for your spouse and claim the additional $600.

I believe everyone is thinking in the same direction... but if and only if we're able to come out of the blackhole called I-140.
Well, you don't need to wait for I-140 to come out of the blackhole if you are dumping the old case and starting a new EB2 case. According to my lawyer, new EB2 140s are getting processed at a much higher rate than those EB3 140s that were filed July 07.

I have read online that S-corp is better than LLC. Is that true?
Below is some info that I have collected:
Anyone who is planning to do business within the State of Maryland, using a name other than their own personal name, must register with the state of Maryland (Business.gov - Official Business Link to the U.S. Government (http://www.business.gov/states/maryland/assistance.html) ). Yesterday I filled up the appointment form of my local congressman. I will try if I can meet him and he could probably write to the public officials or could talk to rep. Zo Lofgren. In my opinion if we can somehow inform Rep. Lofgren, she will certainly do something. She seems really(genuinely) concerned for the plight of Green Card seekers...
I would request everybody to find out ways and channels to get this information to her....

Gandhigiri approach to retrogression in my opinion will be to do some good deeds that give Immigration Voice positive publicity, which in turn pushes the retrogression debate in the forefront in the national press.
There are several positive things that IV could do:
1. Start a small scholarship in a poor/immigrant dominated school/neighborhood.
2. Help some hospital in a poor/immigrant dominated.
3. Have a blood camp.
4. Donate food.
5. Send flowers to Senate & House.
Guys, all we need is positive publicity. We do not need large sums of money to do this.

I received good news on June 1, 2007 that my I-140 is approved. It was received by USCIS on May 22, 2007. Then later that day I saw the new immigration bill. If this very unreasonable bill (EB backlog) will be passed the wasting of all the money, time, stress, anxiety and hope towards the GC procedure will make the whole thing look like a bitter joke. This is beyong my wildest imagination on how bad things can go since we are all hard-working and law-abiding legal immigrants. Is it a punishment for being a good member of society?
I'm praying that it will not be given any consideration by those who have powers.

Not really, The PD will be stuck sometime in 02 or 03. Thus, unless there are some changes in law, we are looking at 5-7 years wait.
Also, I am not fabricating 750,000 number. This is the anticpated applicants, per Matthew Oh.

If the GC quota is 9800 for India then to process 750,00 applications ( most of them will be India I am sure ) will take like 20 years . Thats impossible man !!!
