Please share your experiences if you renewed your NJ DL with EAD renewal notice.
My nj dl is due for renewal. I have applied for EAD renewal. I have the receipt notice and am working on EAD.

I really think we are all split between EB2 and EB3. EB2 folks don't give a damn about EB3 dates.

I was hoping to get a 2 year EAD, but I am wrong now. Make the VB current, issue 1 year EAD and then retrogress. What a brain!!!

It means USCIS has pre-adjudicated your I-485 if it was filed before october 2008.
I hope so..
But checking my July 2007 I485 online status, it says it was last updated in Dec 2007..
Shouldn't we all have got recent LUDs or RFEs if all of us were recently pre-adjugated

I got the e-mail today as well. My PD is Sep 2005 and my I-485 receipt date was Sep 30, 2005.
Couple of people I know got their approvals with PDs of 2004 and 2005 in EB2 and EB3.. Hopefully dates will look better in october visa bulletin.

REMEMBER, THE RECAPTURE OF UNUSED VISAS IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PRIORITIES OF CORE AND THE DOOR IS SLAMMED ON OUR FACES AGAIN BY HYPOCRITES LIKE HILARY AND CALIFORNIA SENATORS.
Its the high time we convince the senators who said NAYS. Lets start SOME KIND OF CAMPAIN aiming these guys. I am sure that core's hands are there behind this amendment. Well done IV. Don't get dissappointed, keep trying for Skill bill or for similar amendments. Its really unfortunate that we lost a very very big chance. Lets do something immediately.

Pls dont believe SriKondoji. Hez known for spreading false rumours and making lame comments thus misleading ppl. He did the same thing on the July 2 Tracker and was booted out. I emailed them not as me but as my employer( point of contact mentioned in the labor petition) and it works they send me a copy of the labor approval to my house along with a copy to my employer and one to my attroney. It really works.

This amendment will go a long way to help out businesses that are the life-blood of the U.S. economy and I hope my colleagues will join me in supporting it.�
Specifically, the Cornyn Amendment would allow the Department of State and DHS to �recapture� unused employment-based visas. This is not an increase in employment-based numbers but rather, a direction for the agencies to use all the visa numbers that are available today. These visa numbers will be distributed to nurses and physical therapists and aliens with extraordinary ability, advanced degrees, and needed skills. In addition, the Cornyn Amendment also includes a one-time H-1B increase of 115,000 (up from the 65,000) for FY 2008 only.

a) Pros of this idea
b) Cons of this idea
c) Alternative we might have.
Also, please do not get emotionally attach to an idea let democratically select that is best for the community.
Please limit to those ideas that are executable and within the bounds of law.
The campaign will fail in my opinion. Because anytime you ask people to spend money, many will not. Such activity and motivation for the campaign will die out next week when visa bulletin fever is over. We will again get agitated next month same time. So unless we figure out a campaign idea that costs us no money, it is bound to fail. I am for a phone call campaign. Or if we really want to do something big, we should do a rally in DC with 10 thousand members.
That is right. I said before and I am saying again. I am against sending flowers or calculators because.
1. They cost money (Some people may not do that just because of that).
2. USCIS will like those toys for their kids (Please come out of the movie mood, movies impress a lot but they are a lot different from real life). Believe me they will treat these things as wonderful gifts and we will end up spending time and money for these.
3. It will not make any difference to USCIS.
4. USCIS can always redirect all those flowers to orphanage or other places, what they cannot do is redirect our posters trying to put them to shame.
I have been appealing a lot about this. Why do not we have a letter compain along with posters which should put them to shame. These should not only be sent to USCIS, but also to the press, congressmen, president of US and yes the director of USCIS. I have created several posters here.

They are bullsxxting themselves and everyone else. I am amazed..!! These committee members dont have a clue of what they are hearing about. Mixing GCs with H1-B. This issue is always a killer and more inportantly not even related to issue at hand..!!

I don't understand how removing the country limit may have resorce implications, as how I understand is, instead of adjucation an EB-2(2008) from Mali you'll be adjucating an EB-2(2004) from India, what difference it is for them ???

Looking at the recent approvals looks like USCIS does the following:
1. Pick up x number of files using a random algorithm.
2. Arrange these files in a random order using the same random algorithm
followed in step 1.
3. Randomly pick any file arranged in step 2.
4. Toss a coin.
5. On odd dates if it is heads,approve the file. On even dates if it is tails
approve it.
6. If file is not approved in step 5 put it on the shelf to be picked up
in step 1 in next cycle.

I think everything will normalize in October. From RN, EAD may take three to four months.

I think they have to be current when they get an appointment or something like that. I am pretty sure that they accounted those 18k as CP numbers
Definitely not when you get the appointment. I am 100% certain of that. There have been cases of people going for the consular appointment and not getting it as dates retrogressed.
Only possibility is that the cases up to May were the 66K for 485s PLUS 18K for CP throughout the year until may. Right now noone wanting to get into the system will go for CP.
